This includes spending time to understand underlying and future market trends so that our clients are able to exploit opportunities and speak authoritatively when talking to their customers, industry peers and the media.

Our Team

Our team is made up of experienced marketing and communications talent, with a broad background within both the client and agency sides. This means we understand too well the challenges faced by marketers who are constantly tasked to do more with less. It also means we have the know-how and tools to meet those challenges.

Established in 2004, Barking Dog was founded by Samantha and Nigel who, having been frustrated by agencies employed by and employed with, felt there was a gap in the market for an agency that offered a more personal service, a clear plan of action and passion for doing a good job – and all without blowing the bank.

We are a core leadership team of three but supported by a cast of talented PRs, marketeers, designers, film-makers, writers, event managers and techies.

Nigel Couzens
Sustainability & Corporate Practice Leader

Prior to co-founding Barking Dog, Nigel held senior marketing & communications roles within some of the world’s leading telecoms, consumer electronics, consumer durables and travel technology companies. Nigel also has a wealth of experience in sales and business development, including start-ups and listed businesses. Nigel’s role at Barking Dog includes generating media exposure for our clients as well as heading up the sustainability and corporate sectors of our company.

Samantha Langston
Consumer & Retail Practice Leader

Before moving over to the agency side, Samantha had over 15 years’ product and service marketing experience within major blue-chips in the publishing, airports, retail and fashion sectors. As well as her creative copywriting and sales promotion expertise, Samantha is also responsible for helping our clients organise and implement conferences & exhibitions, corporate hospitality, photographic shoot production and press events.

Paul Tittle
Technology Practice Leader

Paul has spent over 18 years in senior marketing management positions client-side working in both b2b and b2c markets across a diverse range of industries including sustainability, consumer electronics, manufacturing,  automotive and retail. As well as heading up our technology practice, Paul also is responsible for our client’s new product launches, trade communications, collateral development, sales staff training and incentive schemes.
