Anaerobic digesters generate energy and cash whilst also reducing harmful emissions.

As the temperature of the climate change debate continues to rise, and the concern over CO2 levels grows ever further, Barking Dog has been working with a highly regarded farmer in North Wales to help point out that there may be a solution already available to us.

According to Richard Tomlinson we do not have a carbon problem, it’s more a case of where that carbon is. Whilst we are all aware that CO2 emissions have reached record levels, fewer of us probably understand that the level of carbon in our soils is reducing at an equally alarming rate. And therein lies a real solution to our CO2 problem: on-farm AD not only generates renewable energy from farm animal waste but the carbon locked within is returned to the land in the form of digestate where it can replenish the soil.

Barking Dog has worked closely with Richard, consulted with academia and thoroughly researched its subject matter to release a series of by-lined articles that have been published in several highly respected specialist trade publications.

We invite you to check out these articles, and perhaps learn more on this fascinating issue, by reading the online versions of the CIWM Journal, Environment Industry Magazine and Cleantech Business News, to name but a few. Or visit the www.fre-energy.co.uk website on which these articles have also been posted.
