Having a presence at a trade show typically eats up a lot of marketing budget. Nevertheless, it is still, even in 2024, a cost-effective way of reaching your target market. However, it’s one thing being there, getting punters on to your stand is another thing entirely. More so at big shows, where there could be multiple halls and hundreds of other exhibitors, all wanting attention.
So, when MOBA and Fastview360 wanted to launch a new ground-breaking product Barking Dog was asked to come up with an innovative way to not only promote this, but to also offer live demonstrations.
Maximising the use of budget, we came up with an innovative design that helped our clients stand out from the crowd and provided them an opportunity to show, in real-time, how their new ‘BinStop’ technology worked.
We positioned a real truck cab at one end, a working bin-lifter at the other, and joined them together with carpentry to provide walls for monitors and a store room. When motion sensing cameras were placed around the truck, the clients were then able to demonstrate how BinStop prevents accidents whenever a person strays too close to the lifting mechanism.
Seeing the system work in a real-life situation created huge interest at both events with the clients stating that it was their ‘best show ever’. Genuine leads were generated and conversations have been had with regulatory bodies on how this system can be rolled out across the UK and beyond.
