We were back at the NEC in September for RWM2025; the UK’s largest waste, resource and environmental show.
With impending safety regulations due to come into force in 20207, our client MOBA wanted to showcase its BinStop system that helps prevent operatives, and the public, being inadvertently carried into the back of a waste truck.
We designed and project managed the build as well as being present to take photos and create some video content, including this tour of the stand.
Waste collection using bags is still important for inner city commercial and residential customers, and more so since the introduction of Simpler Recycling. Distribution of these bags is currently a manual task, but what if could be more automated?
At RWM, MOBA invited vending machine manufacturer, DAINT S.p.a., and bag supplier SMP – Sfregola Materie Plastiche – to show how the process works in Italy.
Vending machines are situated in public places allowing bags to be easily collected, with each bag automatically allocated against either a business or an individual. This can even be integrated into MOBA Solutions and Software and could have strong potential in UK cities.
Finally, it’s critical that employees wear the correct PPE when working on site. But how can this be enforced, particularly on large construction or waste transfer sites?
