Earlier this year we were asked by Bunzl Catering & Hospitality to help them produce a series of films that explains what happens to a customer, from the time it’s received right through to delivery and after-sales care.
This was a major piece of work as it meant co-ordinating with all parts of the organisation including sales, procurement, finance marketing, dispatch, warehousing, transport and customer services.
The objective was to make it more transparent as to what each department does with that order, and how, through teamwork, orders are completed with maximum customer satisfaction.
The film was inevitably going to run beyond thirty minutes and so the other element they wanted to include was some humour, to keep viewers engaged.
We had around 3 months of pre-production, to finesse scripts, recruit Bunzl personnel to appear in the films and refine the creative approach. We also recruited an actor to play the part of a bumbling presenter. The part was played by the fabulous Matt Weyland, who has been seen in many popular TV and stage productions including Eastenders and The Detectorists.
Production spanned 5 days of filming at Bunzl Catering sites in Epsom, Basingstoke, Tamworth and Bristol. We also included some motion graphics within the finished films to explain the journey more graphically.
As this was intended for an internal audience, we can’t show you the final films but we do have some still taken from the production days.
